Imagine living on open waters! Pangeos, a giant floating city has been planned that will offer luxury living and endless views

According to CNN, it is named after Pangea, a supercontinent that existed from 200 million to 335 million years ago

The $8 billion project is being designed by Italian company Lazzarini and construction is expected to start in 2033

Pangeos is called a terayacht - a name given to vessels even bigger than super, mega and gigayachts - and will house 60,000 people

When completed, it will become the largest floating structure ever built and look like a Bond lair

The superyacht is 550 metres (1,800 feet) long and 610 metres (2,000 feet) at its widest point

Designers have chosen a location near Saudi Arabia to build the city. They will dredge 1 sq km of sea to build a circular dam

Pangeos will have space for hotels, shopping malls, parks and even ports for smaller ships and aircraft

Below the living space would be 30,000 "cells" which would keep the structure afloat. The basement would be made of steel
