Henley Passport Index has released the list of the most powerful passports in the world in 2024

The index ranks 199 countries on the basis of visa-free entries allowed on their passports

France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore and Spain ranked first with visa-free entry allowed in 194 destinations

But India has slipped one rank compared to its position last year

With 62 nations allowing visa-free entry to Indians, India ranked 85th on the index

India now stands behind South Africa (55th), Maldives (58th), Saudi Arabia (63rd), China (64th), Thailand (66th) and Indonesia (69th)

India's last year rank is now held by Uzbekistan, whose population is over 2% of India's population

India, however, ranks higher than its neighbours. While Pakistan is at 106th, Sri Lanka is at 101st place and Bangladesh stands at the 102nd position
