Sometimes, it happens that a woman's address may change after marriage as she may have to shift to a new home

But, increased digital penetration has made it easy to apply for transferring Voter ID cards after marriage

According to Election Commission rules, an individual will need a document as address proof

These can be any one from utility bills, Aadhaar card, passbook of a nationalised bank, Passport or sale/lease deed

After arranging any of these documents, an individual needs to log onto National Voter's Service Portal (NVSP) portal

Use your credentials and OTP to log in, then click on Form 8 under 'Shifting of Residence' tab

Fill all the necessary details, like state, district and constituency followed by Aadhaar number
