The Reserve Bank of India has shut down the Paytm Payments Bank and prohibited them from accepting new clients

As per the order, no fresh deposits will be accepted after March 15, other than cashback, sweep-ins from partner banks, or refunds

However, users can continue to use their current balance for toll payments even after March 15. They will not be able to top up or add to their balance

Here are steps to close Paytm Payments Bank FASTag

Open Paytm App and go to "Manage FASTag" in the search menu

Select the vehicle for which you want to close the FASTag

Select the "Close FASTag" option on the top right section of the page

Tap on "Proceed" and you will receive the confirmation message

The FASTag will be closed within 5-7 working days

The security deposit and minimum balance for FASTag will be refunded to your Paytm Payments Bank Wallet post-closure
