A 7.4 magnitude earthquake shook Taiwan on April 4 which left nine dead and over a thousand people injured

Japan records the most earthquakes anywhere in the world due to its high seismic activity and dense seismic detection network

Nepal is situated in one of the world's seismically active regions. A magnitude 7.8 earthquake in 2015 claimed around 9,000 lives

Turkey has a history of severe seismic activity.  In 2023, a 7.8 magnitude quake struck Turkey and Syria, killing more than 50,000 people

Philipines is next in the list with around 24 earthquakes of magnitude 5 or more rattling the country since 2024

Pakistan, which is situated atop the Eurasian and Indian tectonic plates. In 2013, an earthquake of magnitude 7.7 killed over 300 people
