Here are little-known facts about Tesla CEO, X owner and billionaire Elon Musk.

He holds a triple citizenship. Elon Musk was born in South Africa, became a Canadian citizen at 17 and in 2002, he gained a US citizenship.

Mr Musk taught himself how to code when he was 10. He also created a video game called Blastar and sold it for $500 to a magazine.

Robert Downey Jr's portrayal of Tony Stark in Iron Man is inspired by him. Before filming the movie, Downey Jr met the Tesla CEO to learn his mannerisms.

He quit a PhD degree in two days. Mr Musk enrolled at Stanford to pursue a degree in applied physics but he dropped out to start his first company Zip2.
