India has banned the sale and breeding of 23 "ferocious" dog breeds

The step was taken amid a rising number of deaths due to pet dog attacks

American Bulldog, Rottweiler and Pitbull Terrier are among the banned dogs

You can't also keep American Staffordshire Terrier, Tosa Inu and Fila Brasileiro as pet

Dogo Argentino, Boerboel, Kangal, Central Asian Shepherd Dog, and Caucasian Shepherd Dog (ovcharka) have also been banned

Other breeds include South Russian Shepherd Dog (ovcharka), Tornjak, Sarplaninac, Japanese Tosa and Akita

Mastiffs (boerbulls), Terriers, Rhodesian Ridgeback, and Wolf dogs are also among the breeds that have been banned
