Delhi could soon see hot air balloon rides, with four scenic locations proposed by the Delhi Development Authority.

Yamuna Sports Complex, Commonwealth Games Complex, and riverside spots Asita and Baansera are being prepped for the launch.

The DDA has appointed a private agency for three years. If successful, operations may be extended to nine years.

Each site may operate for up to four hours daily. Around 3,600 sqm has been earmarked for each launch pad.

Final permissions are under review. The service is likely to begin by early winter-ideal for clear skies and cooler days.
