Being late can cut into your session time. It disrupts the schedule for your therapist and other guests. Aim to arrive at least 15-20 minutes early.

Each spa may have different rules/instructions. If you're unsure about what's appropriate, ask the staff. Be respectful of others' space and privacy.

Spas are meant to be peaceful zones. Loud conversations, speakerphone use and constant notification sounds/ringtones are considered rude.

Not rinsing off before a massage or body treatment is unhygienic. A quick shower also helps soothe your muscles and relax you.

If something feels uncomfortable during a treatment, speak up politely. Therapists want you to feel good, but they cannot read your mind.

Putting on a strong perfume could overwhelm your therapist's nose and/or mix with the components of essential oils applied later.

Spa treatments aim to help you slow down and disconnect from the pressures of daily life. Allow yourself to relax. Hurrying will negate the benefits.
