With answer sheets being checked digitally, the board aims to make the process faster, more accurate, and free from manual errors

Under the On-Screen Marking system, answer sheets are scanned, uploaded online, and teachers evaluate them digitally from their schools

To ensure smooth functioning, CBSE has conducted training sessions, dry runs, and provided technical support systems for teachers involved in the evaluation process

Marks are awarded by examiners directly on the digital platform while assessing scanned copies of answer sheets

The system reduces the chances of errors, particularly in totalling marks, and improves consistency in evaluation

The digital process has also helped shorten the evaluation timeline from around 12 days to nearly nine days, allowing quicker result processing.

However, the marking scheme, weightage, and answer evaluation criteria remain unchanged.

The On-Screen Marking system marks a major shift in CBSE's evaluation process, making it quicker, more efficient, and more reliable
