Voltas Posts 17% Increase in Q4 Profit

New Delhi: Tata Group firm Voltas Ltd on Thursday reported a 17.55 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 118.04 crore for the fourth quarter that ended on March 31, 2015.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 100.41 crore for the corresponding period a year ago.

Net sales in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2014-15 increased 2.32 per cent to Rs 1,484.09 crore from Rs 1,450.36 crore a year ago, Voltas said in a filing to the BSE.

For the financial year 2014-15, the company registered a net profit of Rs 384.33 crore. It was Rs 245.73 crore in fiscal year 2013-14.

Voltas' net sales for 2014-15 were at Rs 5,144.29 crore as against net sales of Rs 5,243.66 crore in the previous fiscal year.

Meanwhile, Voltas in a separate filing said its board of directors has recommended a dividend of Rs 2.25 per share for financial year 2014-15.

Voltas shares, on Thursday, settled 2.29 per cent lower at Rs 288.30 apiece on the BSE.
