Singham Returns With a Bang at Box Office

Ajay Devgn-starrer Singham Returns is off to a strong start at the box office. Singham Returns has already grossed over Rs 50 crore at the domestic box office in first two days and estimates are that it may pull in Rs 75 crore in its first three days.

Singham Returns' collections could get also get a big boost with Monday being a holiday at many places due to Janmashtami.

Singham Returns in its first two days grossed Rs 51.25 crore at domestic box office, said trade analyst Taran Analyst in a tweet. The 2011 hit Singham had grossed over Rs 100 crore, said Mr Adarsh.

Singham Returns is expected to hit the Rs 100 crore market in five days, following the footsteps of Kick which remains the biggest grosser so far in 2014, according to Bollywood website koimoi.com.

Singham Returns has also opened strongly at overseas markets. Eros, which distributed Singham Returns in the overseas markets, said the action thriller has become the biggest box office opener for Ajay Devgan in the UAE, with opening day collections at 750,000 dirhams.

The box office had high expectations from Singham Returns, which opened on Independence Day across over 4,000 screens. Singham Returns is directed by Rohit Shetty, who has delivered hits like Golmaal series, Singham, Bol Bachchan and Chennai Express.
