Singham Returns Extends Box-Office Dominance

Singham Returns continued its good performance at the box office, grossing Rs 6.44 crore at the box office on Wednesday, trade analyst Taran Adarsh said on Twitter. Singham Returns so far has done India business of Rs 107.12 crore, he added.

Singham Returns, which was released on Independence Day, entered the Rs 100 crore club in just five days. Singham Returns is now the 4th highest grosser of 2014, according to Bollywood website Koimoi.com.

Singham Returns had opened to 4,020 screens worldwide, 3,610 in India and 410 overseas, added Mr Adarsh.

This makes Singham Returns Ajay Devgn's fifth Rs 100 crore grosser, Mr Adarsh added. Singham Returns also marks director Rohit Shetty's fifth Rs 100 crore grosser, Mr Adarsh said. Rohit Shetty has delivered hits like Golmaal series, Singham, Bol Bachchan and Chennai Express.

Singham Returns' prequel Singham had also done business of nearly Rs 100 crore.
