Shriram Capital MD, CEO Sridhar quits executive role

Shriram Capital managing director and chief executive officer R Sridhar has stepped down from his full-time executive role in the company.

He has been with Shriram Group for the last 28 years in various roles and predominantly as the CEO in its flagship NBFC Shriram Transport Finance Company.

Despite relinquishing the executive position, Mr Sridhar, as a member of Shriram Ownership Trust, will continue to work on various strategic projects of the Group assigned to him, the company said here today.

"I will continue with the company in a non-executive position and not quit the company," he added.

As CEO of Shriram Transport for 12 years, Mr Sridhar has contributed immensely and made the company achieve leadership position amongst NBFCs in the country, said Ggroup founder R Thyagarajan.

"Sridhar has ably led the company to many successes and we look forward to his continued association with the Shriram Group," he added.
