Shah Rukh Khan Shatters More Box-Office Records With Happy New Year

Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Happy New Year has grossed over Rs 350 crore in total collections worldwide, making it one of the highest grossers of this year.

Produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment and directed by Farah Khan, Happy New Year is a heist drama.

In a Facebook post, Red Chillies Entertainment said, "With the India collection of the film crossing Rs 200 crore net box office and overseas collecting $15 million so far, #HNY has become one of the highest grossers of 2014."

Released on October 24, Happy New Year also set new box-office records for first day as well as opening week collections.

Happy New Year also features Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Sonu Sood, and Vivaan Shah.

Happy New Year is Shah Rukh Khan's second movie in the Rs 200 crore club (net domestic collection) after Chennai Express, said a report from trade website Koimoi.com. Shah Rukh Khan's previous movie Chennai Express made a lifetime business of Rs 225 crore in the domestic market, says the report.

The other Bollywood movies in the Rs 200 crore club are Dhoom 3, Krrish 3, Kick and 3 Idiots, says the report.
