Sesa Sterlite gains on Karnataka mining ruling

Sesa Sterlite Ltd gains as much as 3.6 per cent after the miner said a committee appointed by the Supreme Court had allowed it to resume mining activities in Karnataka.

The Supreme Court had banned mining in Karnataka two years ago, but has since allowed resumption at certain mines based on the committee's recommendations.

Sesa shares up 1.5 per cent at 10:23 a.m.
