Sensex edges up ahead of GDP data

Indian markets were higher today but gains were capped as investors remained cautious ahead of announcement of second quarter GDP data.

Sensex was up 96 points at 20,631 while Nifty was up 30 points at 6,122.

The GDP data for the second quarter is due after the market hours today.
