Rupee Flat at 61.69/Dollar; Japan Slips Into Recession

The rupee was little changed at 61.69 vs its previous close of 61.72/73. Asian currencies were trading stronger to mixed versus dollar.

Gross domestic product (GDP) on the country fell at an annualised 1.6 per cent pace in July-September, after it plunged 7.3 per cent in the second quarter following a rise in the national sales tax, which clobbered consumer spending.
