Pharmaceutical major Ranbaxy Labs has posted a net loss of Rs 586 crore for the quarter ended June 30, against a profit of Rs 243 crore in the same period of the previous quarter.
Total income during the period increased from Rs 1,298.34 crore to Rs 1,586.98 crore.
The company's forex loss stood at Rs 850 crore.
Net sales rose 54.5 per cent to Rs 3,174 rupees, Ranbaxy said.
Analysts had forecast a net profit at Rs 321 crore on net sales of Rs 2,906 crore, according to Thomson Reuters
