PK Box-Office Review: Grosses Over Rs 600 Crore Worldwide

Aamir Khan's PK has grossed a whopping Rs 601 crore worldwide, says a report from box-office website Koimoi.com. PK holds the distinction of being the highest ever Bollywood grosser worldwide, overtaking Dhoom 3's Rs 542 crore tally. Dhoom 3 also incidentally had Aamir Khan in the lead.

PK's collections were buoyed by Rs 150 crore earnings from overseas market, says the report. "Aamir Khan once again beats his own record as PK surpassed the collections of Dhoom 3 which itself had made a huge collection of 542 crores worldwide. PK has once again after Dhoom 3  shown Aamir Khan's mighty power at the box office." the report said.

"PK [Week 3] Mon 4.42 cr, Tue 4.02 cr. Highest 19th Day. Grand total: Rs 313.71 cr nett. India biz. All time blockbuster," trade analyst Taran Adarsh said in a tweet.

The gross earnings of PK from the domestic box-office stands at Rs 451 crore, according to Koimoi.com.

Director Rajkumar Hirani's first film in five years, PK has a star-studded cast, which includes Anushka Sharma, Sanjay Dutt and Sushant Singh Rajput.

Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films, in association with Disney India, had released PK on December 19 and since then it has been soaring high at the box office both in India and abroad.
