On New Trains, Travel Superfast, Without Reservation

Making his Railway Budget announcements, Minister Suresh Prabhu today said new types of trains, Humsafar, Tejas, Uday and Antyodaya, would be introduced.

Humsafar will be a fully air-conditioned train for budget passengers, in which meals will be optional.

Tejas will offer a preview of high-speed bullet trains with quality services like entertainment and local cuisine. "It will travel at 130 km an hour and offer on-board WiFi services," the minister said.
