New Delhi: When billionaire brothers Mukesh and Anil Ambani today accompanied their mother Kokilaben to receive the prestigious Padma Vibhushan, awarded posthumously to their father Dhirubhai Ambani, there seemed no trace of the famous rivalry that had caused them to part ways years ago.
Mukesh and Anil sat together and often spoke to each other at the Darbar Hall of Rashtrapati Bhavan during the hour-long civil investiture ceremony. Their wives Nita Ambani and Tina Ambani had accompanied them.
While Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries Ltd, was for most part seated, Anil, chairman of Reliance ADA group, was seen escorting several ministers and other dignitaries to their mother to introduce them.
He also escorted Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu to older brother Mukesh's seat and they exchanged greetings before the function began.
