L&T Arm Wins New Orders Worth Rs 1,242 Crore

Chennai: Infrastructure major Larsen and Toubro's Metallurgical and material handling arm has bagged orders worth Rs 1,242 crore during the current quarter.

 

The company has won engineering, procurement and construction orders from Abu Dhabi-based SENAAT General Holding Corporation for 2.40 lakh tonnes per annum (TPA) submerged arc welded pipe mill project and 20,000 TPA seamless copper tube plant in Abu Dhabi, L&T said in a statement.

 

Finished products from the plants would cater to the requirements of the oil and gas and utility industries respectively, it said.

 

"Winning these prestigious international orders only affirms our capability to manufacture high-end equipment for the metallurgical sector," Larsen and Toubro Whole-time Director Shailendra Roy said.

 

In the domestic market, the company said it has won fresh orders from HPCL-Mittal Energy Ltd and other packages from existing customers, the company said.
