JK Paper reports loss of Rs 24.84 crore in Q2

JK Paper Ltd on Wednesday reported a loss of Rs 24.84 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2013.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 4.66 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago, it said in a filing to the BSE.

Net sales during the quarter ended September, 2013 increased to Rs 469.10 crore from Rs 422.11 crore a year ago.

For the first half of the current fiscal year (FY14), JK Paper registered a loss of Rs 23.46 crore as against a profit of Rs 18.80 crore in the corresponding period in FY13.

Net sales from operations in the first half stood at Rs 889.63 crore, as against Rs 831.92 crore in the same period last year.

Shares in JK Paper, on Wednesday, ended at Rs 28.25 apiece on the BSE, down 0.18 per cent from the previous close.
