JK Cement Q4 Profit Falls 8% to Rs 69 Crore

New Delhi: JK Cement on Monday reported an 8.5 per cent drop in standalone net profit at Rs 69.84 crore for the quarter ended March, 2015.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 76.38 crore for the corresponding quarter a year ago, JK Cement said in a filing to the BSE.

The company's standalone total income from operations increased to Rs 916.05 crore in the fourth quarter of last fiscal year, over Rs 832.71 crore in the year-ago period.

Its standalone expenses rose to Rs 789.86 crore in the fourth quarter of 2014-15, from Rs 704 crore in the same period a year ago, it added.

The company's standalone net profit increased 61.7 per cent to Rs 156.92 crore in 2014-15, from Rs 97.02 crore in the previous fiscal year.

As of 2:55 p.m., JK Cement shares were trading at Rs 605.15 apiece on the BSE, up 1.53 per cent from the previous close.
