Budget carrier IndiGo has announced fares starting as low as Rs 900 on select domestic routes.
Bookings for IndiGo's offer will be open till September 10 and will be applicable on travel between September 13 and September 30.
The Rs 900 offer from IndiGo is applicable on Jammu-Srinagar and Delhi-Jaipur routes. Under this IndiGo offer, Delhi-Lucknow route tickets are priced from Rs 1,346, Guwahati-Bagdogra Rs 1,648, Jammu-Delhi Rs 1,750, Delhi-Varanasi Rs 1,846, Srinagar-Delhi Rs 1,890 and Delhi-Jammu Rs 1,896.
IndiGo did not did not disclose the number of seats available under the offer.
IndiGo's offer comes in the wake of discount offers from other airlines. AirAsia India and Vistara had recently announced discount offers on advanced fares, with all-inclusive tickets starting Rs 599 and Rs 949 respectively.
Airlines offer special fares to increase load factors during the lean seasons: The periods between January-March and July-September are typically considered lean season for the domestic airline industry.
