Government Restricts Tyre Imports

The government on Friday restricted tyre imports across categories of pneumatics and radials used in buses and motorcyles, it said in a notification.

In April, the country's trade deficit - which occurs when imports exceed exports - narrowed to $6.76 billion from $15.33 billion in the corresponding period a year ago.
