Honda two-wheeler sales up 3 per cent in May

Two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) reported on Saturday a 3 per cent growth in its total sales during May, 2013 at 2,29,006 units.

Total sales of the company stood at 2,21,549 units in the corresponding month last year.

Motorcycle sales declined by four per cent to 91,283 units in May 2013 from 95,423 units in May 2012, HMSI said in a statement.

The company reported an increase of nine per cent in its scooter sales at 1,37,723 units from 126,126 units in May 2012, it said.
