Hilton signs management contract for new property in Jaipur

International hospitality chain Hilton Worldwide today said it has signed a management pact with Goverdhandham Estate Pvt Ltd to run a property in Jaipur under the Hilton Garden Inn brand.

Hilton Garden Inn Jaipur is scheduled to open in the last quarter of 2015 in Jaipur, the company said in a statement.

"Jaipur is one of the most popular tourist destinations in India, and we anticipate opening our first hotel in the city early next year," Hilton Worldwide Asia Pacific president Martin Rinck said.

Owned by Goverdhandham and managed by Hilton, the property will have 125 rooms and suites and 1,500 sq ft of conference and events space besides other facilities.

Hilton Garden Inn Global Head, Adrian Kurre said two properties under this brand are in operation in India at Saket and Gurgaon (New Delhi/NCR). It caters to mid-market sector.

"Another Hilton Garden Inn hotel is scheduled to open in Trivandrum later this year. We are pleased with this opportunity to extend the brand's presence in the country," Mr Kurre added.

Bullish on the Indian market, Rinck said: "India is a key strategic market for Hilton Worldwide. Over the next eight to 10 months, we are very excited about extending our network to Bangalore, Trivandrum, Agra, as well as Jaipur."

The hospitality chain operates hotels and resorts in different parts of India, including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Vadodara, Pune and Goa.
