Geojit BNP Paribas Q3 net up 21 per cent at Rs 15.75 crore

Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services on Wednesday reported an over 21 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 15.75 crore for the third quarter that ended in December, 2013.

The company had posted Rs 12.99 crore in profit after tax (PAT) in the corresponding period a year ago.

However, the company's consolidated income fell 8 per cent to Rs 62.02 crore, from Rs 67.75 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.

During the quarter, Geojit BNP Paribas's assets under custody and management crossed the Rs 15,000 crore mark for the first time.

The improvement in market volumes, increase in software export revenue and tight control of costs during the third quarter helped increase the profit, Geojit BNP Paribas managing director C J George said.

During this quarter, the company added 10,000 new customers, he said.
