Fiscal Deficit Reaches 94% Of 2016-17 Target In December

New Delhi: India's fiscal deficit in the first nine months to December was Rs 5.01 lakh crore ($73.87 billion) or 93.9 per cent of the budgeted target for the fiscal year ending in March 2017, government data showed on Tuesday.
The fiscal deficit was 87.9 per cent of the full-year target during the same period a year ago.
Net tax receipts in the first nine months of 2016-17 fiscal year were Rs 7.52 lakh crore, the data showed.
