Finding Fanny Sets High Expectations at Box Office

Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor-starrer Finding Fanny has been one of the most eagerly awaited releases of this year. Presented by Fox Star Studios, Finding Fanny is produced by Maddock Films and directed by Homi Adajania of Cocktail fame. Finding Fanny's trailer on YouTube attracted over 5 million viewers.

"We are very happy with the response and feedback that we have been getting on the trailer," Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios, had said earlier in a statement.

Critics have generally given positive reviews to Finding Fanny, which is based on a road trip set in Goa. It also features Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Kapur, and Naseeruddin Shah. Finding Fanny was released across 900 screens and initial box office response has been decent, said boxofficeindia.com in a report.

Finding Fanny's release comes at a time when Bollywood is having a good year. This year's top grosser Kick has grossed over Rs 200 crore at domestic box office while Singham Returns has made business of over Rs 130 crore, according to various estimates. Other releases of this year such as Ek Villain, Holiday, 2 States and Jai Ho also grossed over 100 crore at the domestic box office. (With Agency inputs)
