Eveready Posts Three-Fold Jump in Q3 Profit

New Delhi: Battery maker Eveready Industries India Ltd on Tuesday reported an over three-fold increase in standalone net profit at Rs 15.33 crore for the quarter ended December 2014.

The company had reported a net profit of Rs 4.52 crore for the corresponding period of last fiscal year.

Eveready's net sales in the quarter under review stood at Rs 325.22 crore, up 9.70 per cent as against Rs 296.44 crore in the corresponding period in 2013-14.

Overall expenses stood at Rs 298.39 crore as against Rs 282.02 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Shares in Eveready Industries, on Tuesday, ended at Rs 214.90  apiece on the BSE, up 0.35 per cent from the previous close.
