Bajaj Auto Sales Rise 5% In November To Over 4.22 Lakh Units

Bajaj Auto recorded a sale of 4,22,240 units in November 2020, registering a growth of 5 per cent from sales of 4,03,223 units in the corresponding month last year, led by a higher demand for two-wheelers.  According to data shared by the company's regulatory filing on sales numbers, Bajaj Auto recorded sales of 3.85 lakh units of two-wheeler in November 2020, registering a 12 per cent growth as compared to the corresponding month last year, when two-wheeler sales were ar 3.43 lakh units. Overall, the domestic sales in November was 1,98,933 units down 4 per cent year-on-year (YoY) On the other hand, exports were at  2,23,307 units increasing by 14 per cent YoY.

The two-wheelers and commercial vehicles manufacturer recorded commercial vehicles sales at 10,737 units, falling by a massive 66 per cent. The total sales for commercial vehicles were at 37,247 units last month, which is decline by 38 per cent from November 2019, when total sales were at 59,777 units. Between April-November 2020, the company registered 2,212,617 units of sales out of which 1,193,002 units were from the domestic market and the rest of the 1,026,675 units were exported in the same period. Registering an overall decline of 26 per cent, Bajaj Auto sales recorded sales of 24,30,718 units compared to 32,87,196 units last year.

The sales of two-wheelers in the current period remains at 22,19,677 units, down by 21 per cent YoY and sales of commercial vehicles sales are at 2,11,041 units, down by 56 per cent YoY. 

Bajaj Auto was last seen trading at Rs 3221.05 apiece up by 1.24 per cent on the BSE. The stock rose to an intraday high of Rs 3236.60 apiece.
