Adani Group to Discuss Rs 7,000-Cr Vizhinjam Project With Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: A four-member delegation of the Adani Group led by Karan Adani, executive director, will hold discussions with Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Monday to work out implementation details of the Rs 7,000-crore Vizhinjam deep sea port project.

The dates of signing of the concession agreement and commencement will be decided at this meeting, Kerala Ports Minister K Babu said.

The state government had issued the letter of award to the Gujarat-based Adani Group last week.

Kerala has also asked the Centre to take a decision soon on its request for relaxation of cabotage for the Vizhinjam port.
