Researchers at ETH Zurich created an AI-powered robot that plays badminton against humans. ANYmal-D is a four-legged robot equipped with a dynamic arm and stereo camera for gameplay. Using reinforcement learning, the robot effectively predicts shuttlecock trajectories and returns shots.
