Singapore said on Tuesday that it had deported four Indonesians it says were on their way to Syria to join the ISIS group.
The Ministry of Home Affairs said the four "were deported to Indonesia after investigations revealed that they had plans to make their way to Syria to fight for ISIS." ISIS is another acronym for the ISIS group.
"Singapore authorities informed their Indonesian counterparts before the deportation," the ministry said in a statement to The Associated Press.
The local Straits Times newspaper reported that one of the four was a 15-year-old boy who was detained Sunday while attempting to enter Singapore from Johor in Malaysia.
On Monday, Singapore's government said plans on raising public awareness on how to respond to terror attacks will be released soon.
