Vishambar Mehrotra alleged that Scotland Yard had covered up his son's murder.
An Indian-origin father in the UK claims that his 8-year-old son had been killed by the Westminister paedophile ring - an alleged group of politically well-connected people who abused boys in the 1970s and 1980s - and the Scotland Yard covered up the murder to protect the VIPs, news agency Press Trust of India has reported.
Since last week, the London police have been investigating "possible homicides" after one of the alleged abuse survivors claimed to have witnessed three murders. One of the boys, it was said, had been strangled by a Conservative MP during a depraved sex game.
In an interview to UK's "Daily Telegraph" on Tuesday, Vishambar Mehrotra, a retired magistrate, claimed his son had been the victim of the same ring. His son Vishal had been abducted on July 29, 1981, while he was on his way home to Putney after watching the wedding celebrations of Prince Charles and Diana outside Westminister Abbey.
He was last seen near the Elm Guest House, from where the paedophile ring allegedly operated.
In February 1982, part of Vishal's skeleton was recovered from West Sussex, south England. There was no trace of his legs, pelvis or lower spine or his clothes.
According to PTI, Mr Mehrotra claims in the months following the abduction of his son, he received an anonymous call from a male prostitute. "I was contacted by a young man who seemed to be in his 20s. He told me he believed Vishal may have been taken by paedophiles in the Elm Guest House near Barnes Common," PTI quoted him as saying.
The man said there were very highly placed people there. He talked about judges and politicians who were abusing boys, Mr Mehrotra said, reported PTI.
Mr Mehrotra claims to have recorded the 15-minute conversation and taking it to the police. "But instead of investigating it, they just pooh-poohed it and I never heard anything about the tape again. The whole thing went cold," the PTI quoted him as saying. "Now it is clear to me that there has been a huge cover up. There is no doubt in my mind," he said.
At the inquest into Vishal's death, the West Sussex coroner Mark Calvert Lee recorded an open verdict but said "foul play" was likely.
Repeated allegations about the paedophile ring operating from the Elm Guest House, involving politicians and judges, have been made over the last two years, but the police are yet to find any evidence of it.
