Elon Musk Conducts Twitter Poll, Users Vote For Him To Step Down

More than 10 million Twitter users voted in favour of Elon Musk stepping down as Twitter's chief executive after he ran a poll on his future.

About 57.5% of more than 17 million accounts voted "yes" after Mr Musk asked Twitter users whether he should step down.

The billionaire had said before the poll ended that he would abide by the results.

Hours after the poll closed on Monday, Elon Musk stayed silent.

Then on Dec. 22, Mr Musk said that he will resign as Twitter's chief executive when he finds someone "foolish enough to take the job".
