Zeenat played the role of disfigured village belle Rupa in Raj Kapoor's 1978 film Satyam Shivam Sundaram

Satyam Shivam Sundaram was controversial for its sensual content and many actresses had rejected the role

Zeenat said she didn't think Raj Kapoor would visualize her in the role of Rupa, a village priest's daughter

So she dressed in a ghagra-choli, with her hair in a plait, tissue paper stuck on her face and went to RK Studios

She told Raj Kapoor's assistant John, “Please tell sir that Rupa has come.” Raj Kapoor said, “Who's Rupa?”
