Road blues: Kerala residents lodge novel protest

The residents of Nemom on the outskirts of Thiruvanthapuram have adopted a novel way to register their protest after repeated pleas for a proper road fell on deaf ears. Trying to shame the authorities into taking some action, local residents and auto-rickshaw drivers started cultivation on the dirt track and planted trees in the middle of what used to be the road.
