Poor vision increases the risk of collisions due to the driver's inability to recognise and react in time to a hazard or the behaviour of other road users. A little over 50 percent of those who sit behind the wheel of a truck and drive it for long hours have been found to be doing so with some form of eyesight problem that was untreated as per the NHAI study.
