From raising money to construct toilets in rural India and getting people to pledge volunteering hours for clean-up drives across the country, the NDTV-Dettol Banega Swachh India campaign has achieved many landmarks in the last five years. The agenda of the campaign was also expanded to include waste segregation, composting and even tree plantation drives to combat air pollution for swachh air. This holistic approach to cleanliness is now being expanded to look at health and hygiene in a big way under the Banega Swasth India initiative.
