"Today's judiciary is a mixed picture. No doubt judicial overreach exist but what will the judiciary do if the executive neglects the citizens?" one of India's finest lawyers, Soli Sorabjee, said. He is worried that with today's publicity the perception about the judiciary is a bit low, but believes that people are still confident of the Indian justice system. Mr Sorabjee, former Attorney General of India, asserts that PILs are not pills for all of India's ills. The 87-year-old lawyer has seen over 30 Chief Justices of India during his practice.
