The Uttar Pradesh police today claimed to have scored another big success in their drive to wipe out goonda raj. They claim to have gunned down two men, said to be part of a criminal gang behind a spate of murder in Aligarh district. The pictures of the encounter however raise a serious question, whether this was a genuine shootout or another staged killing, especially in light of the fact that journalists were "invited" to a location on the outskirts of Aligarh where they were told an encounter was in progress.
