More than 80 per cent of India's farmers are small and marginal farmers, who own less than 5 acres of land. The coronavirus induced lockdown has impacted the livelihood of these farmers. Rang De and NDTV have come together to highlight the impending crisis faced by small and marginal farmers across the country. As part of the campaign, a two-hour special #RangDeIndia telethon was organised, urging people to join hands in support of small and marginal farmers and make a social investment that will be used in providing interest-free loans to them.
