Today, three gruesome cases of child rape have emerged across the country. In Delhi, a child who lived in a slum was picked up by a homeless man and brutally raped; In Chennai, an 11-year-old girl was allegedly raped for months by her building staff. 17 men have been arrested, among them a guard and a lift man. In another horrifying case, an eight-year-old girl was raped by five minor boys who lived in her neighbourhood in Dehradun after they watched porn.
