Despite 'VVIP Status' , No Change In Varanasi's Air

Little has changed in the Prime Minister's constituency, Varanasi, since it was declared, a year ago, to have the worst air for the most number of days. Things are not looking good - again - data for August from Uttar Pradesh 's Pollution Control Board shows that pollution is up over 10% compared to the previous August. The administration in this VVIP constituency clains that after last year's air pollution figures, they have spent crores of rupees improve traffic and reduce dust - among the major causes of the city's air pollution.
