The recent flooding in Bengaluru after heavy rains was bad, but for some, what followed was even worse - demolition of homes that had been allowed to come up on storm water drains. This may have been due to corrupt officials or unscrupulous builders, but those bearing the brunt - home owners - who knowingly or unknowingly built their homes where they could cause flooding.
