Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that the lockdown imposed to curb the spread of the coronavirus should be lifted in a phased manner. "Our chief minister has written to PM Modi that every state should have the flexibility to chart out its own process. That is the way forward, Mr Rane said. "Today PM Modi made it clear that both lives and livelihood are important. So, we are trying to fecilitate industries to restart and also setting up testing centres to test more people," he said. The Union Territory is also aiming to increase testing capacity to over 1,000 tests a day, he said.
